Payment

• Bookings cancelled within 3 days of your arrival will be liable for the cost of the first night of your stay. Bookings can not be cancelled within 24 hours of your arrival and the full cost of your booking with be owed.
• Payment is due on the morning of departure. We accept cash and most credit and debit cards. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club Cards, Cheques or Travelers Cheques.
• We do not take advance payment for booking of less than £1000. For booking of over £1000 we ask for a 50% deposit payable no less than 30 days before your arrival date, or immediately if booking within 30 days of your arrival. Deposits are non-refundable if your booking is cancelled within 14 days of your arrival.
• Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Should you wish to, we will attempt to book you into another local bed and breakfast of the same or lower grading in a similar standard of room(s). Should this establishment be more expensive, we will pay the difference for the first night of your stay. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.
• We do not normally charge for breakages, as we appreciate accidents do happen, however we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good of significant damage.
• If you fall ill or are injured on our premises, it is your responsibility to tell as at the earliest opportunity.
• Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is NOT permitted within any part of Castle Hill Guest House.
• Castle Hill Guest House reserve the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual’s stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non-compliance of our non-smoking policy may constitute termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.

Entrance to the Building

From the Front: The main hotel entrance is located at the front of the building on Castle Hill Road.

Vehicles can stop outside to drop off passengers and baggage.

Toilet Facilities

A Ladies and Gents toilets is on the ground floor, accessed from the main hallway.

Access in the building

Due to the age and limitations of the building there are no downstairs bedrooms or lift to the first or second floors.

The first and second floor are accessed by a Victorian staircase on two levels with two landings.

Bedrooms

Our seven bedrooms vary in size. All are en-suite. We do not have hoists available.

First Floor: We have 2 suites and 1 king-size room. All of these rooms have showers over baths.

Second Floor: We have 1 suite (this can be either a super king bed or a twin), 2 king-size rooms and 1 twin. 2 rooms (1 king-size and 1 twin) have walk in showers, 1 has a shower over bath and one just bath.

Each room has a sensitive smoke detector with loud audible claxons situated in each of the public areas.

It is our responsibility to ensure that all guests are aware of any emergency situation and will give clear instructions and assistance in the event of evacuation. Emergency lighting is fitted throughout the building.
